Description

The area discussed in this report lies in the southeast portion of the Sylmar quadrangle and the northeast portion of the Pacoima quadrangle, Los Angeles County, California. The area may be reached from Los Angeles by driving northward on U.S. Highway No. 99 as far as San Fernando, then turning north for three miles to Foothill Blvd. (consult U.S.G.S. topographic map for roads leading directly into the area). From Pasadena the area may be reached by driving west on Foothill Blvd. through Sunland and Tujunga as far as the Olive View Sanitarium, a distance of about 22 miles from Pasadena.
