Overview

This dataset compiles high-resolution (30 m) remote sensing and modeling data obtained from various sources including AVIRIS-NG (Airborne Visible/Infrared Imaging Spectrometer-Next Generation), TROPOMI (TROPOspheric Monitoring Instrument) SIF, and outputs from the Climate Modeling Alliance (CliMA) Land model. It was collected as part of the SHIFT (Surface Biology and Geology High-Frequency Time Series) campaign conducted in 2022 at the Dangermond Preserve, California. This comprehensive dataset provides valuable insights into vegetation traits, plant functional types, and ecosystem dynamics.

Data Files

CliMA Land Output

  • merged_pft_shift_fluxes_reg_jmax.nc: Contains ecosystem fluxes across different plant functional types (PFTs), including parameters like gross primary production (GPP) and sun-induced fluorescence (SIF) across multiple wavelengths.
  • merged_trait_shift_fluxes_reg_jmax.nc: Ecosystem fluxes highlighting trait variations, with detailed dimensions and variables capturing GPP and different SIF channels.

Vegetation Traits

Plant Functional Types

  • TROPOMI_SIF740nm-v1.001deg_regrid_Dangermond_tll_clipped_458_492.nc: Provides regridded sun-induced fluorescence data at 740 nm from the TROPOMI instrument, matched to the spatial specifications of the Dangermond Preserve.

AVIRIS Data

  • aviris_dangermond.nc: Offers comprehensive spectral reflectance data from the AVIRIS-NG instrument, detailing spectral information across 399 wavelengths. The dataset is processed to align with the spatial and temporal frameworks of the Dangermond Preserve.
