Description
[Description of dataset] This archived dataset comprises four files containing field-based offset measurements and notes; screenshot documentation of new lidar-based measurements; and field observations of published lidar measurements. These data were collected and analyzed as part of the research investigation described in Sousa et al, 2016, Re-evaluating offset measurements in the maximum slip zone of the 1999 Hector Mine Earthquake surface rupture, Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America (in press), and Sousa's June 2016 Caltech doctoral thesis.
Files
Other
[Description of files] 'all_GT.pdf' - Field notes taken at 87 sites along rupture. Site locations referenced in table of contents correspond to sites described in Chen, T., et al., 2015. 'SUPP_A.pdf' - Compilation of field based offset measurements. Site locations referenced in table of contents correspond to sites described in Chen, T., et al., 2015. 'SUPP_B_V2.pdf' - Screenshot documentation of new lidar-based measurements. Images represent input screen and outputs generated from LaDiCaoz, MATLAB GUI for LiDAR data handling and lateral displacement measurement. 'SUPP_C.xlsx' - Digitized version of textual data contained in Field Notes PDF. Covers the 87 locations in the field where offset measurements (Chen et al, 2015) were groundtruthed. 21 of 87 sites were removed from 'database'.
